Monthly Letter

We all understand that our Salvation or renewal came through being born again.  This was not the process of going back into our mother’s womb, but that of being born of the spirit.

This is the biggest miracle we will ever receive!  But in order to walk in this Salvation we need to walk with Him, because it takes the miraculous!

In the things of God we are always looking for a miracle, which means that we need Him and also, to obey Him to see it come to pass!

Our determination in the things of God should be to enter into His Rest.  What does that mean?  It is the assurance that it is taken care of.

THAT DAD WILL TAKE CARE OF IT.  This is not just something that we want to strive to do, but He wants us to!

In other words, this is not Him challenging us to see if we will do it, but it is an opportunity that He gives us for a peaceful and better life!

John 10:10 NLT

[10] The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

Hebrews 2:1-4 NLT

[1] So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it. [2] For the message God delivered through angels has always stood firm, and every violation of the law and every act of disobedience was punished. [3] So what makes us think we can escape if we ignore this great salvation that was first announced by the Lord Jesus himself and then delivered to us by those who heard him speak? [4] And God confirmed the message by giving signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit whenever he chose.

Hebrews 2:11-13 NLT

[11] So now Jesus and the ones he makes holy have the same Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them his brothers and sisters.

[12] For he said to God, “I will proclaim your name to my brothers and sisters. I will praise you among your assembled people.” [13] He also said, “I will put my trust in him,” that is, “I and the children God has given me.

Jesus was constantly saying, I do only what I see My Father do!  In the scripture we just read, He was not suggesting that we should, but He was telling us to do the same!

Hebrews 3:12-14 NLT

[12] Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God. [13] You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God. [14] For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ.

How do we know that we are going the wrong way?  When we are no longer accessible to God due to the limitations of what we are willing and not willing to do!

See, when we have already made up our minds of what we will and will not do, that closes the doors for God to suggest His Will to us, because if and when He does, we will brush it off with and excuse!

This is why the renewing of our minds is so important!

3 John 1:2

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

Your soul is your mind, will and emotions.

Hebrews 4:2-3 NLT

[2] For this good news-that God has prepared this rest-has been announced to us just as it was to them. But it did them no good because they didn’t share the faith of those who listened to God. [3] For only we who believe can enter his rest. As for the others, God said, “In my anger I took an oath: ‘They will never enter my place of rest,'” even though this rest has been ready since he made the world.

See, we are to become like God our Father, to live according to the Kingdom which is prosperity and enter into His rest, just like He did when He created everything.  The seventh day was a day of rest.

Why is this so important?

Because this rest is the rest that faith provides for us, and the Word clearly tells us that it is impossible to please God without faith!

Hebrews 4:10 NLT

[10] For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world.

This only happens through relationship and obedience!

Why is this obedience so important?  It is our notification to God that we are walking by faith.  He not only expects us to do it, but He gave us the example by giving and having His son do it.  He sowed His Son, Jesus sowed His life and He reaped a harvest.

Hebrews 5:9 NLT

[9] In this way, God qualified him as a perfect High Priest, and he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him.

Jesus spoke of the Jews who were always studying the Scripture and never came to Him!  Or how Paul described it “Always learning but never coming to the knowledge..”

God has given us provision so that we can and we will!

Hebrews 2:14-15 NLT

[14] Because God’s children are human beings-made of flesh and blood-the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. [15] Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.

When we do not understand what death is in the eye of God, we really don’t understand where death comes in and what it can do.

Death is not just going through the grave, but it is separation from God.  Which means we are doing things on our own TERMS, without His leadership and touch.

The devil can suggest something, but it is our choice to do it or not to do it.  We do not have to listen to the enemy, this is why God made an escape through the mind of Christ, and we can clearly hear Him as we renew our minds by the Word, prayer and the choices we make!

Psalm 115:12-13 – 12 ADONAI has kept us in mind, and he will bless. He will bless the house of Isra’el; he will bless the house of Aharon; 13 he will bless those who fear ADONAI, great and small alike.
