                                 Deal With It!

We have to be very careful that through the antagonism of the world and the enemy, we have not allowed our opinion of God to be changed from a Savior to a remover of obstacles or things that make us feel bad.

First of all nothing outside of us can make us have our victory or defeat us.  We know from my many years of my teaching that we are the sum total of our choices.

When we did not know the Lord, we use to run to drugs.  I am talking about anything we wanted to get rid off from a headache, to wanting to feel better in a party we went for the drugs or drinking or other kind of parties that included all of the above.

When we still want to be in control, we are still doing the same thing we are asking God to give us something to take it away.

Let us look at this scenario, the drugs we took remedied the outside, but the problem was still there.

If we persist with this attitude, the problem will never be taken care of, and you will be going from one fix to the other.

Remember John said, “Put the ax to the root!”  And here we are trying to get rid of the fruit.

If we remember the pilgrims progress, he went through something called the slough of life.

Slough –   An area of soft, muddy ground: swamp or swamp like region.

These are the things that due to the curse have hurt us and tried to destroy us.  These are the very things in our soul that create such a problem and hurt when we come to God.

Our will is weak, our emotions are up in the air and our minds are filled with fear because of our past experiences that were meant for failure.

This is the very reason why we needed Salvation.

Salvation from what, our fallen nature or self, and the system of this world that is meant to destroy us.

This is why Jesus said things like, “Be in the world but not of it!”

When we are facing this kind of deliverance we have a tendency to say, “Why doesn’t He just take it away?”

Now let us look at this in a reasonable way, how many would go to a doctor and allow him to do anything to you, if you walked in his office and would say I have a scratchy throat and he would say well, let’s go into surgery to see what is wrong!

Believe it or not God is able to do this, but we would be destroyed because we could not handle such things.  Heck, we pitch a fit over a broken nail…..

Imagine if He would change us all at once.  We would lose our minds.

EXODUS 23:30 – 30 I will drive them out from before you gradually, until you have grown in number and can take possession of the land.

But what He did was He prepared a nature that we can posses as we deal with each hurt and fear letting them go and pressing on to the promise.

Bur we have to be very careful, that very much like the children of Israel we begin to fear the giants that we need to overcome when we look to our own strength, instead of looking to God’s strength to overcome.

For this very purpose was the Son of God manifest, to destroy the works of the evil one.

This is why it is so important to learn to trust and receive from God as little children!

He also gave us an instructor, His name is the Holy Spirit

Most people only see Him as source of power to speak in tongues.

The reality is that He is the source of our power as we follow and obey Him.  This is the way the power of resurrection life is released in us to do great exploits and the so much needed transformation!

Religion teaches us to pity ourselves when something goes wrong or when there seems to be an inability to overcome.  We know that this is a lie because the Word calls us more than overcomes through Christ who strengthens us.  The world is filled with so called victims.  I say so called because Jesus said;

Matthew 11:28-30 (NLT)

28Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.] Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls.  For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good–not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne.

-Matthew 11:28-30 (AMP)

Let The Lord be your strength, take His yoke upon you and let Him lead you and guide you into His plan and provision!
